Our Mission:The Wisconsin Rapids Community Theatre, Inc. was established in 1975 to bring live theater to the community. Main Stage ProductionsSince 1975, WRCT has produced three main stage & one summer youth production per year. In 2009, we will add a fourth production to our season. Performances are staged in the Gilbert and Jaylee Mead Auditorium constructed in 2007. Season tickets are available at a reduced price. The generosity of our patrons, sponsors, and advertisers allows us to keep ticket prices low. Studio Theatre ProductionsWRCT’s Studio Theatre series provides a forum for original plays, improv and nontraditional theatre. We are always looking for material for the Studio Theatre series. Interested parties please contact the WRCT office. Rent the FacilityThe Gilbert and Jaylee Mead Auditorium and the Studio Theatre spaces are available for rent. The auditorium seats 223, and is designed as a performance or large meeting venue. The Studio Theatre is a multifunctional, black box facility and seats up to 60 people. The rental policy is available on the WRCT website or by contacting the office. If you are a non-profit organization, we will negotiate a fee based on your ability to pay. Educational OpportunitiesEducational opportunities abound with voluntary membership in WRCT. WRCT uses local talent in all phases of production, and membership is free and open to anyone. WRCT offers mentoring programs for individuals interested in learning any area of theatrical interest. Classes and WorkshopsIn addition, periodic workshops and other educational opportunities are made available. Upcoming workshops include are available on the website or by contacting the WRCT office. |
