Responsibilites include:

Transportation:

• Planning, design and construction administration and inspection of streets and highways.
• Traffic control.
• Parking.
• Railroad delay reduction and crossing safety.
• Bike trails/Sidewalks.

Utilities:

• Planning, design and construction administration and inspection of sanitary sewer system and storm sewer system.
• Providing engineering services for the Wastewater treatment plant.
• Sewer use fee administration.

Survey and Right of Way:

• Survey for public works construction projects.
• Maintaining land records and survey control data.
• City property land acquisition and administration.

Other services:

• City maps, exhibits, and engineering services for other City departments
• Concrete permits, Asphalt paving permits, Excavation in the public right of way permits, Parking permits, and Garbage hauling vehicles permits can be found in the Engineering Office.
