Garage and Street Services are responsible for:

• Street Maintenance
• Sewer & water construction
• Garbage & recycling collection
• Yard waste collection
  

Schedule of services:

• Garbage Pickup: Garbage is picked up once a week in each neighborhood. Contact the City Garage at 421-8218 to ask about your pickup day. Residents should put their garbage and recycling out before 6.00 am of the day of pick-up, but no sooner than 24 hours before pickup. Garbage routes are delayed one day when holidays occur.
  
  

• Landfill: Residents may take their garbage to Veolia's Cranberry Creek Landfill, 2510 Engel Road, but a fee is charged at the landfill.
  
  

• Recycling: Recyclable materials are picked up every other week on garbage pickup days. Recycling routes are delayed one day when holidays occur.
  

Recycling Program:

Please separate your recycling in the following 2 categories:

• Paper Products: Includes all mixed paper, newspaper, and cardboard. These can all be put in a paper bag or tied in a bundle. The cardboard should be cut small enough to fit in a grocery bag or bundled no larger than 12” x 24” x36”. Put mixed papers in paper bags, not loose. Remove all bows, ribbons, foil and plastic from wrapping paper. Foil and plastic laminated papers are not recyclable.
  
  
• Container Products: This category includes all glass, tin, aluminum and #1 and #2 plastic bottles. Tin, plastic and glas should be cleaned with the labels and tops removed. These can all be put in one container or paper bag. Please keep glass unbroken. Do not include plastic bags. Please flatten cans and plastic bottles, if possible. Do not include motor oil containers.
  
  Residents in multi-family units should contact their apartment owner or manager for recycling details.
