Court Clerk's Public Office Hours: Monday through Thursday from 7am - 3pm.
Hearing Dates: First and third Wednesdays of each month
Trial Dates: Second Friday of each month.
Responsibilities include:
- Handles cases of alleged violations of municipal ordinances for which the penalty is a forfeiture.
- Conducts hearings and trials in the council chambers.
- Cases include civil traffic actions; ordinance violations such as shoplifting, disorderly conduct and parking citations; and juvenile offenses such as underage drinking and smoking.
- May also hear truancy cases, conduct marriages, and hear alleged violations of the building, electrical, plumbing, fire, and zoning codes.
